Anthony Mascolo is never happier than when he’s behind a camera and has been shooting his own images since the early 1980s. The influence of his photographic work on the industry and other hairdressers has been much documented.
As well as creating content for Infringe, the magazine he runs with wife Pat, Anthony also shoots much of the imagery for TIGI’s education collections and brand campaigns. 2019 has been a busy year not just for Anthony, but also our in-house photographers, Alex Barron-Hough and Mauro Carraro.
We take a look back at all the fantastic shoots from the year.
In 2019 TIGI Copyright released their latest campaign for the launch of the True Light Freestyle Blonder. Led by Anthony Mascolo and Global Creative Technical Director, Christel Lundqvist, the shoot captured the new Blonde Balayage collection, including two new freehand painting techniques: LA Lights and Vogue Lights.
It’s been a busy year for Bed Head also, with the release of the #YVOT (Your Vibe Our Tribe) campaign which, shot in California, features a tribe of diverse and dynamic creative influencers who show how their hair is part of their individuality and self-expression.
Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting new content coming soon from Bed Head (take a sneak peek here).
Of course, one of our photographic highlights this year is TIGI Modern Classics, which features a collection of beautiful and inspirational imagery, and 16 new step by step videos. After months of planning and production, Anthony and the team were excited to launch the collection at the TIGI European Convention in July.
European Session Director, Maria Kovacs, also used her editorial skills to create a series of education shoots, Royal Rebellion and Opulent Anarchy, which translated the season’s trends into wearable, salon looks.
And not forgetting the great work that Alex Barron-Hough created with the US Creative Team at this year’s Total Concept courses.
It’s not just been a busy year for the TIGI team but our salon partners too, who have shot fantastic work at the Bed Head Studio. Here’s a selection from the year.
