ANTHONY MASCOLO: WHAT'S NEW FOR DECEMBER FUSE - TIGI FUSE

Welcome to my last editor’s welcome for the year!

December has crept up on us once more and we’ve reached that time of year when everyone seems to be partying, except for hairdressers who are at their busiest. It’s a time when you are hopefully adding to your profits upselling in-salon services, increasing your retail sales and also planning promotions for the coming year. But, if you’ve got any free time, it’s good to think about growing your team and your business when the New Year hits, so this month we’re helping you plan your education for 2020.

At this time of year, many clients think about having a change to their colour tones. TIGI European Technical Creative Director, Kerrie O’Reilly shares her latest tones to inspire you and your clients.

The end of the year is also a time for reflection, so we’ve picked a selection of our all-time favourite shoots and films and we’ll be sharing these on TIGI Fuse this month. And we’ve also picked some shoots we’ve done with TIGI clients in Bed Head Studio over the last few months.

Last month my wife Pat and I were invited to attend the Japanese Hairdressing Awards in Tokyo. Together with Akos BodiGen Itoh and my son Joshua, we held a presentation with a cutting section and finale. Whilst there we took the opportunity of doing some exciting street photography for Infringe.com and we’re sharing parts of these stories with you, here on TIGI Fuse.

It’s been a fantastic year and we’ll be giving you a quick run-down of some of the global events and ‘happenings’ that have occurred throughout the year.

I hope you have a very happy festive period, and a fantastic year ahead. See you all in 2020!

Anthony Mascolo
