Scottish salon owners, Brian MacMillan and Kevin Paul Finnell of F&M salon in Barrhead, Glasgow, brought their entire team to London for their 2019 collection shoot with TIGI photographer, Mauro Carraro.
Entitled FRAE, the collection pays homage to their roots whilst defining their appreciation of their own heritage.
Pre-preparing for the shoot, each team member brought their personal inspiration to the planning meetings until the final moodboard took shape with an overall vision. Texture and a richness of hues was a central element and it was decided each model would be shot twice, with one look featuring Scottish accessories, made from raw local materials.
Each image and style brings out the fabrics and textures reminding the viewer and creator alike, of the homeland where F&M live and work.
“FRAE” is the Scottish word for ‘from’ chosen by F&M to reflect their heritage and pay tribute to their ancestors.
F&M is at 29-31 Cross Arthurlie Street, Barrhead G78 1QY, Scotland. www.fmhairdressing.com
