City Spice is ideal for the client who craves customised luxurious services. Working to enhance the face-framing colour technique, Anthony Mascolo creates a soft layered haircut that adds movement and perfectly complements the facial features of the sophisticated urban client.

CUT & STYLE

01. Prep the hair with TIGI Copyright Heat Protection Spray and Colour Lustre Oil, then take a central part followed by a radial part.

02. At the back, comb all the hair down to a natural fall and blunt cut the baseline squarely in a finger’s depth of graduation.

03. At the sides, comb the hair to its natural fall. Cut the line squarely until the baseline is complete. To establish the graduation around the face, take a diagonal back section from the top of the head to behind the ears.

04. Over direct the section forward and slide cut a low elevation from just below the jawline down to the corner of the baseline. Work up the head, follow the guide until the centre parting is reached. Repeat the same technique on the opposite side until the remaining hair is reached and a balance is created.

05. To establish the layers, take a central profile section at the top of the head. Comb and elevate 90 degrees to over direct and cut blunt the guide, working short to long. Take a diagonal back sections on both sides of the central part and over direct up to the profile section then cut to follow the guide creating a soft inversion.

06. Prep the hair with Volume Lift Styling Spray. Blow dry the hair with a medium round brush. Finish with Volume Finishing Spray and Multi-Tasking Styling Cream.
