CUT & COLOUR TECHNIQUE: TEXTURED LAYERS MEET METALLIC PASTELS
Loose, layered texture and soft pastel tones are given a creative edge with a hint of futuristic high shine metallics.
Metallic tones bring a translucent light to the model’s colour whilst the haircut is inspired by memories of underground Berlin in the 1980s. The overall contrast between the abstract texture and pastel colour results in a look that is playful and futuristic.
Creating this mid-length haircut, Akos Bodi based his concept on the Transient Layers technique, with a slight disconnection and loose deconstructed texture that results in an abstract finished effect. Transient looks have an enduring popularity, allowing the style to be worn in different ways but with movement adding to the appeal.
To create this metallic pastel colour, Warren Boodaghians looked at the world of cosmetics and emerging makeup trends. He particularly took inspiration from the idea of sheer cosmetics and used the concept to create futuristic, soft metallic tones, reflecting shine and emulating his vision for an intergalactic shine.
The mix of a mid length layered haircut with high shine pastels make this look the perfect style for clients this Summer.
