Tom Chapman, founder of The Lions Barber Collective, releases a new documentary with an important mission.

In April, at the start of Lockdown, we interviewed barber Tom Chapman about the work he does for his charity: The Lions Barber Collective. Now, to end our features on health and wellbeing during Mental Health Month, we are sharing the trailer to Tom’s new documentary: The £1.7 Million Haircut. The documentary exposes the tragic and shocking truth of male suicide.

Why £1.7 Million?

That’s the estimated economic burden of every single suicide. Tom’s mission is to build a powerful network of barbers and hairdressers, trained to recognise signs of mental illness in their clients. Never has there been a bigger need for this.

Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45. If the training of barbers and hairdressers can result in saving lives, then Tom’s mission will have been a success.

This is a must-watch film, and anyone can help with training and the support of The Lions Barber Collective.

The full-length film is available to watch now on Amazon.
