Earlier this year, Fuse went behind the scenes in New York and London at the shoot of the new TIGI Modern Classics collection. Anthony Mascolo led the TIGI International Creative Team to create the latest step by steps and model imagery to inspire you and your clients.
We spoke with Anthony about the new collection, created in partnership with TIGI Copyright, the inspiration behind it, and the process of its production.
We’ve been planning the idea of Modern Classics for a long time. We wanted to create this new collection because hairdressers need to constantly update their techniques and keep learning. Evolving their technical skills helps hairdressers to drive client loyalty and progress their work.
Before we shot Modern Classics we had months of preparation and planning, which started with researching the looks and deciding on the right techniques to include in the collection. We also spent time casting models, organising our global team of hairdressers, camera crew, make-up artists, fashion stylists, and scouting out locations for the shoot in New York and London.
Over the years, classic hairdressing has provided thousands of hairdressers with the basis of their daily salon work and has been a fundamental part of the education programmes that my team and I have developed. We’re really excited to share our new translation: TIGI Modern Classics, which takes classic techniques through to creative looks. We’re really proud of this collection and hope hairdressers, whatever their level or experience, find it both useful and inspirational.
Enjoy this sneak peek from behind the scenes at the shoot. Modern Classics is coming soon to TIGI Fuse.
All TIGI Modern Classics education will be exclusive to view on TIGI Fuse. If you would like to find out more about the collection or request your copy of the limited edition book, speak to your TIGI Representative or contact us.
