Not everyone sees a trend the same way, which is why discussing and using inspiration from emerging trends is so exciting.

Opulent Anarchy is one of the key looks the TIGI Creative Team has identified this season. For Maria Kovacs, this is a trend that is about the ultimate ‘It-Girl’. She’s a girl who’s eternally cool with an element of rebellion, but she’s also a rich, expensive anarchist. She is draped in luxury but her hair and her style say this is the ‘day after the night before’ – a manner that can only be described as ‘opulent’.

For Warren Boodaghians, the trend is strongly influenced by music. From the 60s to the 90s, and from classic rock ‘n’ roll to Britpop, music and bands have strongly influenced style trends. Opulent Anarchy centres on a girl who is never a ‘groupie’, she is a leader. Like the Cool Britannia era of the 90s, when girls like Kate Moss were at the forefront of style, this girl is effortlessly cool and always inspires others to follow her lead.
