Working backstage at fashion weeks gives a great insight into emerging trends. The TIGI Creative Team uses the experience as a starting point to look at future hair colours, shapes and textures as well as key themes for the coming season. The benefit of this knowledge is priceless. It provides knowledge that can be shared with a wider group of hairdressers who in turn can use this information to develop their own creative hairdressing, as well as sharing new ideas with clients.

From London to Milan, TIGI European Session Director, Maria Kovacs, led the TIGI Session Team backstage at the SS19 Fashion Weeks, adding TIGI Copyright’s new styling products to her all-time favourite Bed Head and Catwalk products in the TIGI session bags.

In Milan, Maria and the TIGI Session Team were backstage at Marco De Vicenzo where they created playful, deconstructed up-do’s using multiple hair accessories, including butterfly clips and barettes.

This trend has already been picked up in a big way in the fashion and beauty press as an alternative way to style hair for evenings and parties. This is definitely an easy idea to try in the salon as the new season approaches!

"We created a classic, deconstructed shape, which was fun and full of accessories. The hair reflects the clothes which were eclectic, layered and chic. It's glamorous but understated and young; natural but not overdone."
