Never has it been more important to keep in touch with one another! Already, we know many of you have set up WhatsApp groups with your teams and are active on social media with your clients, not to mention of course, your friends. It’s been amazing to see groups of friends sharing online their virtual ‘get togethers’ from social drinks, to family celebrations, music, dressing up and showing off! And let’s face it, these are things that will help us maintain our well-being throughout this difficult time.
Here at TIGI Fuse we’ve got lots of plans in place to connect with you more closely. Telling you how we, as individuals and as a team, are coping with the changes to our lives and offering advice, inspiration and practical knowledge to keep you focused on hairdressing, as well as hopefully making you feel a close part of our global TIGI Community.
Coming up over the next week, we are talking to TIGI team members who have already been working from home for over a week. They’ll share with you how they are dealing with this difficult transition and offer advice to help you get yourself organised, set goals, continue learning and get the most out of your time at home.
We start with Laura Picci. Last year Laura changed her role from ‘behind the chair’ to sitting in front of a laptop and working in an office. She has a great insight on managing this change. We know, of course, for you this is most likely only temporary, but we think you’ll find her experiences are valuable to every hairdresser.
Next up, we have Lucy Hicks, who is part of the TIGI UK Education team, usually spending her time driving around the South-West of England and Wales supporting TIGI salons. A high-energy workaholic, Lucy has found working from home extremely hard, but 10 days on, has some great advice for you all.
Over the coming weeks, the TIGI Creative Team members are all going to be working for you, with demonstrations and training sessions including ‘live’ events.
We’re starting this week with TIGI European Creative Director, Akos Bodi, who will be telling you about how he’s managing change, what’s inspiring him and, who knows, maybe even some live hairdressing (if he can persuade his wife or daughter to be his model!)
From this week, in the Education section of Fuse, we ‘ll be uploading more step by step videos of cuts and colours from previous collections, chosen by the TIGI Creative Team especially for you. These are all timeless looks that are still as relevant today as they were a few years ago. Starting on Thursday, we’re sharing our favourite cut and colour techniques from the TIGI Shift Collection. And there’s more to come…
This week we are offering you a special insight into mental health from TIGI Graphic Designer and Mental-Health Influencer, Annie Bartley, who is rocking the world of Instagram with positive messages and great imagery, whilst sharing her own, sometimes difficult, stories. Annie’s hair is very much part of her ‘well-being’, so we’ll be finding out how being bright red or shocking pink, is the way to go!
Over the coming weeks, because we understand we all need schedules to help our organization and daily routines, we’ll be publishing our planned features on a regular basis, both here on TIGI Fuse and via Instagram. Keep an eye out for further information.
Is there anything you’d like to see or learn? Please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org or @TIGIProfessionals! We want to support you all that we can until such a time you can safely get back into your salons.
In the meantime, please, stay home, enjoy some peace, and time to relax and stay healthy.
Sending you all our best wishes,
The TIGI Fuse team x
