Following in his mum’s footsteps, Warren Boodaghians began his hairdressing career in her salon in Liverpool. Working in the busy family salon laid solid foundations for Warren’s future career. However, his ambitions eventually took him to London where his progressive career led him to joining the TIGI International Technical Team, led by Christel Lundqvist.

Over the last few years, Warren has participated in global shows and seminars, and regularly works on brand shoots and TIGI Collections. Warren leads the development of all colour courses for TIGI’s global academies and creates seasonal colour trends for use in education.

Why did you choose to become a hairdresser?

Hairdressing in my blood. My mum is the best hairdresser I know and the hardest-working salon owner. She a total inspiration!

When you aren’t feeling inspired, where do you find your inspiration?

I could say art, but really, for me it’s movies. Especially the old Hollywood classics, art house foreign cinema and the cult classics. They really fuel my imagination.

When you’re not travelling with work, what’s your idea of the perfect weekend off?

I like to get away. Spending time with my partner, going for a drive somewhere rural or near the sea to go for walks is perfect for me, as well as catching up with friends.

What would be the soundtrack to your life?

I could play Motown all day, every day… right until the end! But, of course, Jennifer Lopez is my idol so anything sung by her.

What is your favourite colour that you’ve ever created?

Last year I created my own collection: Futurism 2018. I was really proud of how the concept became reality, and working with Gen Itoh and Maria Kovacs to create the final looks.
